About Versions

This class will use Python version 3.6, 3.7, 3.8, or 3.9. It is important that you install one of these versions, and not other versions of the software (especially not version 2.x!).

Installing on Your Own Machine

Although Python is available on Athena (see instructions below), it is a good idea to install Python (and the associated packages) on your own computer so that you can make use of it in the future. Please see the instructions for your operating system:

Accessing Via Athena

The version of Python we'll be using can also be accessed on an Athena environment remotely.
